"Satisfied So Far as a Proud, New Parent!" 2009-09-24By

As a new father of a newborn, three-month old boy this is my very first experience with any stroller so I don't really have many details to compare this stroller against other brands. The unit was easy to assemble in about twenty minutes. It folds very easily and I store it in the back of my SUV with a rubber bungee cord to hold it vertically against the back of my rear seat.
So far my wife and I only use it for casual walks in the mall. Besides the convenient cup holders and mini storage compartment near the rear, upper handle there is also a retractable child tray that swings out (although I found this a little stiff to swing) as well as a large, storage area on the bottom that was large enough to hold a small to medium-sized diaper bag. You can steer the unit easily with either one or two hands. Although the unit feels a little heavy when lifting it in or out of my vehicle it feels very stable when pushing it with my child in it. My only other curiosity about this stroller and I noticed other strollers have a simliar design is the double-mounted wheels in the front and single-mounted wheels in the rear. I think as the child gets bigger & heavier the majority of the weight will be towards the rear of the stroller and not the front! So shouldn't the double-mounted wheels be in the rear instead?
Many people have complained about the lack of shade from the cover, but when I attach a rear facing car seat to the stroller (the stroller is compatible with Evenflo "Discovery" or "Embrace" car seats) the shade with the car seat combined with the stroller adequately shades my newborn. I suppose when my child grows out of his car seat than I can concur the shade from the stroller alone may be less adequate. For convenience, there is a small, clear mini-window in the rear shade that you can use to visually see your newborn from the rear if you have attached the rear-facing car-seat to the stroller. Overall, my wife & I are satisfied with the stroller as we look forward to seeing our young son grow with it.
